Winamp working on Linux?

I want to build a small computerized media center for my SUV, and I found that Winamp is a great media player choice, along with VLC (I don't like XBMC).... and I found a discontinued operating system called "Element OS: Linux Distro" which is used for digital media centers mainly, and already has XBMC and VLC... however... will Winamp rund on Element OS? If not... will it run on other small linux distros?
