Cost to replace electrical and computer parts in New Beetle?

I LOVE the new beetle cars but have heard terrible things about the electrical problems and computerized parts in them. What would it cost to replace all those parts or even most of them? A list of parts that are electric or computer run would help plus the cost for just the part as well as how much a mechanic may charge for labor.
